Not exactly an endorsement

David Seaton's News Links
If I finally end up voting for Hillary Clinton she'll have John Edwards to thank. She has taken over his health plan, which according to Paul Krugman is the only workable one out there.

My inner Lenin tells me that it would be great if the whole health thing festered until the masses stormed the Winter Palace, but elementary compassion leads me to support any workable plan for universal health care that would alleviate the suffering of so many millions of fellow human beings.

Right now I think the Democratic nomination is down to two horrible phonies. One an experienced and capable phony and the other a phony of unmitigated chutzpah and cynicism and totally unqualified for the job. If backed into a corner, holding my nose and gagging and retching, I will vote for the candidate that has some chance to heal the sick, not the one that promises to walk upon the water. DS

Unless I misunderstood the project, wasn't yesterday the day for expats to vote in the Dem primary?
I glean from your declaration that you prefer the experienced version of insincerity, rather than the naif model. To each his own!
Dave, please save some bile for the rest of the campaign season. There will be so many other opportunities for utter disgust and vituperation.
Pace yourself, man.

Most expats who vote absentee only take the trouble if their state is finely balanced and there is some chance their vote might make a difference. I would absentee in IL,which polls showde (correctly) was going massively to "carpetbagger" Obama and not to "native daughter", Hillary (Park Ridge) so I passed. In November the same logic will apply. As to the risk of my bile ducts going dry... don't count on it.

David, I understand how Hillary is "an experienced and capable phony," but I don't know enough about Barack Obama to know him as "a phony of unmitigated chutzpah and cynicism and totally unqualified for the job." Could you give some examples?

I think it takes unmitigated chutzpah for someone with such a thin CV to claim the world's most powerful job.

If Barack is so bad,why do you think that the Kennedy family is supporting him ?

The bloom was off the Kennedy rose for quite some time. As you can see their endorsement didn't even carry Massachusetts for Obama.

He is winning a lot or mostly white states. You also had a comment that he's not black enough because he lives in mostly white places.Hawaii,Indonesia, and Chicago not exactly what I would call white places. Believe me he's Black enough alright, because Fox and all the Right Wing commentators hate him.
